The new 54,000 square foot Stars at Night Ballroom draws design inspiration from the beautiful Texas night sky as the sun sets gently over the horizon and the stars begin to give their first light in the evening. The feature design elements of the room are custom tailored to this stunning space, beginning with the walls, a series of wooden slats encircle the room and hover in front of the walls washed with soft light.

Our main pre-function spaces allow for reception style events and registration locations. The newest pre-function area is just outside the Stars at Night Ballroom. If you need more room in addition to the largest ballroom in Texas, we have it. The pre-function area and conjoining terrace provide a beautiful view overlooking Market Street and downtown San Antonio. Take advantage of this space for a spectacular event on our ballroom floor.

Walk through our doors into our premiere facilities. The Main Lobby is the main entrance which provides you with direct access to any of our four Exhibit Halls. It will also lead you to the meeting room level and ballroom level. In the Main Lobby, you will find the Market Café and a hallway to access the Broken Crust Café and the Lila Cockrell Theatre. If your event is in the Lila Cockrell Theatre, Exhibit Hall 4B, Bridge Hall, the meeting rooms nearest Hemisfair Park or on the River Level, the West Lobby will be the most convenient entrance to use.

The Henry B. González Convention Center has five exhibit halls with approximately 514,000 sq ft of contiguous space and 35-foot ceilings. Together, the Exhibit Halls accommodate more than 2,900 standard exhibit booths. The Exhibit Halls consist of Exhibit Hall 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B and Bridge Hall. Exhibit Hall 1 is 86, 878 sq ft of column free space. Exhibit Hall 2 is our largest Exhibit Hall, up to 183,712 sq ft. Exhibit Hall 3, 4 and Bridge Hall are pre-existing halls. Exhibit Hall 4 can be divided into 2 spaces, Exhibit Hall 4A and 4B. Connections for telecommunications, electricity, compressed air, water and drainage are conveniently located throughout our Exhibit Halls. Each Exhibit Hall has its own loading dock area to readily load and unload all event equipment.

Hemisfair Ballroom is divisible into three sections. It is 39,576 sq ft and the adjoining pre-function area perfect for registration or a small reception is 9,203 sq ft. The ballroom was named after Hemisfair Park built for San Antonio’s World Fair in 1968. It is carpeted with our signature “Rose Window” carpet design.
